Multimedia Art

EmaLee has an extensive multi-media art practice built over decades. Her practice spans avant-garde filmmaking, performance art, experimental image-making, and artist-led collaborations.

Her work has been showcased in illustrious museums, galleries, independent film houses, and renowned artist residencies. Since 2009, she has collaborated with the world-famous performance collective La Pocha Nostra, traveling internationally to perform, collaborate, and serve as a film coyote, using the moving image as a language for expression and storytelling. Across these projects, her work is rooted in border culture, activism, ritualism, community, and the lived experience of Chicanisma.
